What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When visitors interact with our site, we may collect personal details such as name, address, email address, phone number, WWCC number, date of birth, and name of church attended. We collect this information in order to effectively provide the Faithfulness in Ministry Conference and other services we may offer. We also collect the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
No information collected is ever passed on to other entities outside the Anglican Diocese of Sydney, other than that which State or Federal laws may require

Contact forms

There are various forms on the site that collect information to help us provide Conference registration. This information will never be used for commercial marketing purposes

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. This information may be kept indefinitely. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you have registered for a Conference on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

If you register for an FiM Conference, or other products/services that may be offered from time to time, the personal details associated with your order(s) are stored indefinitely in the database associated with this site.
The entry and transfer of all such information is through an encrypted connection between your web browser and our web server.
Any credit card information entered as part of purchasing access to courses or other items is sent directly to Westpac via an encrypted connection. No credit card information is stored on this site or it’s associated database.
User data is also imported into the Diocesan Registry database system.

Who has access to your data

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, Site Administrators can access:

  • Registration information.
  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfil orders, process refunds and support you.

Payments

We accept payments through Westpac and PayPal.
PayPal: When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.
